For help, include your iPhone model, iOS version, ShotPAI version, what you tried and what happened. Send only information needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords, verification codes or private video files.
Start a project
Create a project and choose Add videos. Select videos from Photos or Files. Analysis runs on your iPhone; review the results in the storyboard and adjust them before filming. Keep the app open while testing analysis, since iOS may pause work in the background.
A video will not import
First check that the original plays on your device. If it is in iCloud or another provider, download it and try again. Check free storage and media access in iOS Settings. Direct video links must use HTTPS and return an actual video file you have permission to download; social-media page links are not supported in this edition.
Shot boundaries need adjusting
Automatic analysis is a starting point. Inspect cuts and transitions, edit start/end points, or merge adjacent shots from the same source. Editing the checklist does not rewrite your source video.
Camera or microphone access
Allow access in iOS Settings when you want to record with your iPhone. External-camera mode offers references and a timer without starting the phone camera. Review recorded takes before sharing them.
Export and backup
Use Projects → Project manifest → Export current project to save JSON project information. This does not include original videos. Keep important originals and recordings separately. Content sent through the share sheet goes to the destination you select.
Remove local projects
Use Delete project in the project list and read the confirmation. Media used by another project is retained. Exported copies, Photos items and device backups must be managed separately. This edition has no ShotPAI account to delete.
Model acknowledgment
Shot detection uses the TransNet V2 pretrained model by Tomáš Souček and Jakub Lokoč, converted to Core ML. Its MIT license and copyright notice are retained. The model detects transitions; it does not guarantee perfect cuts or identify a filmmaker's intent.
